One KEY way for public speakers to stay CALM

Are you able to stay calm and focused when you speak online?

It can be challenging to speak in public and stay calm and focused.

The good news is that there is one sure strategy to help you feel a little better when you speak in front of a group.

You can start doing it right now!

It's changing your OUTLOOK! 👀

Yep, how we look at our current speaking engagement can make all the difference.

When we have a negative outlook, we are more likely to feel self-conscious and anxious when we speak in front of others. Yuck!

We can train ourselves to have a more positive outlook so we can feel better when we speak in front of others.

Oh, and by positive outlook, I don’t mean “Everything’s rainbows and unicorns”, but rather your “realness” outlook like:

  • “I will take my time and not rush my talk”

  • “I will make more direct eye contact”

  • “I will forgive the small mistakes I may make and STAY CALM & SPEAK ON”

So, if you are game, I want to give you a speaking challenge right now:

  1. Think of one goal you want to achieve at your next speaking engagement. This could be at work or socially.

  2. Decide on one thing that you will do in your presentation and follow through with it!

  3. Write it down and say it aloud to yourself right before you speak!

  4. EXTRA CREDIT: Share it with me in the comments below! When we share a goal with others, we are much more likely to follow through. #teamwork  #accountability #voice coach realness
